New Hampshire Arc Users Group

The next meeting of the NH Arc Users Group is TBD.

The NH Arc Users Group was formed to provide an informal venue for users of ESRI products to meet and exchange ideas and technical expertise. The members are primarily professional GIS users within the state. The users group has neither a formal budget nor a formal mandate from any other organization. It is supported by the labor and services donated by its members and the organizations that employ them.

Meetings are free and open to users of all levels and experience. They occur 3 to 4 times a year at various locations throughout the state. The meetings consist of round table discussions, presentations, help sessions and demonstrations by professional users of ESRI products. Topics include: research, education, natural resources, transportation, health, environment, police, security, and government and municipal applications.

Michelle Therrien of Geocentric Innovations, Meredith, NH is serving as coordinator for the Users Group. For more information about the meetings, please contact Michelle at:

New Hampshire GIS Technical Advisory Committee

The next GIS Advisory Committee Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, 2017, 10 AM - 12 PM, at NH Department of Environmental Services, Hazen Drive (Room 208c), Concord, NH. The agenda will include two main items: 1) the Gap Analysis working group will present its findings for review and comment by the committee. The report will then be sent to the HB377 GIS Committee for its Feb. 24th meeting; 2) Lin Neifert of USGS will give a presentation on the current state of their mapping programs, including LIDAR and The National Map, and future directions of the USGS mapping programs. If you are planning to attend, please send your name to Hamilton McLean at NHDES ahead of time to facilitate entry to the building.

The NH GIS Technical Advisory Committee (f/k/a the NH GIS Advisory Committee) was established in 1987 as a sub-committee of the Governor's Council on Resources and Economic Development (CORD). The Committee was formed to coordinate mapping and GIS-related activities of the members, and to recommend policies, standards, and related measures to CORD for endorsement and implementation. The GIS Technical Advisory Committee works closely with the HB377 GIS Advisory Committee, convened in the fall of 2016 as authorized under RSA 4-F.

For more information about the NH GIS Technical Advisory Committee, or to be added to the email list, please contact Ken Gallager.
